What Is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of disease and illness. Unlike modern allopathic medicine which relies on prescribing drugs to treat your symptoms, Functional Medicine creates health from the ground up. By giving our body proper nutrients, engaging in daily physical activity, getting good sleep, working on mindset, creating a healthy environment and cultivating social connections, we build Real Health. This flips our current paradigm of medicine on its head. When we switch the focus from treating disease to building health, disease naturally decreases.

Modern chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, chronic stress, heart disease, leaky gut, diabetes, obesity, and others are all signs that our bodies are not functioning properly. At the root of this dysfunction are the adverse effects of our modern lifestyle.
Too much sugar, too many pills, too much sitting, too many screens, too much stress. Not enough exercise, not enough Real Food, not enough sleep, toxic relationships, pesticides...the list goes on and on.
Is it any wonder why we spend more than 4 Trillion Dollars annually on health care (the highest per capita of any developed country), yet we continue to show worse health outcomes than any other developed country?
