FAQ's
I know, you still have a ton of questions.

What the difference between coaching and therapy?Therapy focuses on personal and emotional healing. It delves into past experiences, emotions, and thought patterns to address underlying issues and promote healing. Health coaching, on the other hand, is forward-focused. It helps individuals create actionable plans to improve their overall well-being. A health coach partners with you to set goals, overcome obstacles, and develop sustainable healthy habits. While both can be beneficial, they address different needs. If you're struggling with persistent negative thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, therapy might be a good fit. If you're ready to take control of your health and create positive lifestyle changes, health coaching can be a powerful tool. I like to think of therapy as addressing mental illness, while coaching focuses on mental fitness. A health coach is your partner in creating a healthier you. It's important to note that some people may benefit from both therapy and coaching.

What topics do you address?Don't think "health" or "wellness" coaching only refers to diet and exercise. Everything we do, experience, and desire can be addressed with coaching. Common coaching topics include: healthy eating, exercise/activity, stress management, anxiety, sleep hygiene, burnout, confidence, mindfulness, environment, habit/behavior change, life goals/design, job satisfaction, relationships, and accountability, among others. The beauty of coaching is that I coach the person, not the problem. The strategies, tools, and mindset training addressed during coaching can be applied to nearly any aspect of life. Will you just tell me what I should do?I'm sure people have been telling you your whole life what you should do. How has that worked out? You and I both know being told what to do doesn't work. Coaching aims to discover what works best for you. And who knows better what works for you, than you? Everyone has their own preferences, strengths, and challenges. What works for me, won't necessarily work for you. For instance, why is it that so many people are unsuccessful with "diets"? Because it doesn't work for them. Finding what is tailored to fit your specific situation is the key to lasting lifestyle change. It's not enough to do things different, you need to be different.
-
Who would not benefit from coaching?I would love to say that everyone can be coached, and given enough time, they probably can be. That being said, if you are looking for quick fixes, crash diets, shortcuts/hacks, or a one-size-fits-all type of approach to health and happiness, you won't find that here. Coaching is for people looking for sustainable lifestyle change, and have reasonable expectations of what they want to achieve and are willing to take action. Coaching is not a passive endeavor; no one can achieve results without putting in the work.
-
How do I know if coaching is right for me?This is a difficult questions to answer, so first consider these questions: Are you willing to be open-minded? Are you willing to step outside of your comfort zone? Are you willing to commit to self-growth? Are you willing to put in hard work? If you can honestly answer "yes" to these questions, then I think you will benefit from coaching.
-

-
Will you try to sell me supplements?Nope. Never. Seriously, no! I don't believe supplements are required to achieve Real Health.
